How did you get to open your store? What is the story behind it?
"Musikhaus Markstein was founded in 1990, just after the fall of the Berlin Wall, by Heinz-Dieter Markstein (e-mail: chef@markstein.de ). In the 1990s, it quickly developed into the leading music store in the region of Central Germany. With our online store www.markstein.de we can be there for customers in the entire German-speaking area and beyond, and we also welcome telephone inquiries.
Our music store is located in Hartenstein, Saxony, on the edge of the Ore Mountains. Situated directly on the A72 highway, we are easy to reach, especially from the Chemnitz/Zwickau area through the Ore Mountains from Central Saxony to Eastern Thuringia. There are always enough free parking spaces available at the Musikhaus."
Which highlights in your store would you like to tell us about?
"As highlights in our store we have especially workshops with well-known musicians
in our minds. Among them are drummers like Chester Tompson (e.g. Genesis), Dave Weckl (e.g. Chick Corea), Wolfgang Haffner, bassists like Tm Stevens (e.g. Joe Cocker), Frank Itt and others."
Why do you sell Ovation Guitars and what do you think is unique about this brand?
The guitars have unique features due to the special building method and their particular sound.
