FRITS DAMROW PLAYS VINCENT BACH!

WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE FRITS DAMROW AS A NEW VINCENT BACH ARTIST!

We are happy to announce Frits Damrow as a new Vincent Bach Artist! In collaboration with Conn-Selmer, USA and GEWA music GmbH, Frits Damrow chose a Bb trumpet model ML190S37 and a C trumpet model C190SL229 after an intensive two-day test at the GEWA music headquarters in Adorf/Vogtland, Germany. He is extremely enthusiastic about the excellent quality, consistency and sound of the instruments.

Frits Damrow started his musical career as the principal trumpet player of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the Netherlands when he was 21 and still had yet to finish his studies at the Maastrichts Conservatory. After 9 years he was appointed as principal trumpet player of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, holding this position from 1991 until 2010. He was also active as a trumpet teacher at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam from 1993 until 2010.

Since 2009, he has been Professor of trumpet at the University of the Arts in Zürich, Switzerland (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) and is one of the most sought-after lecturers worldwide. He is regularly invited to international festivals and masterclasses as a soloist and lecturer. He has written instructional trumpet books that have now become standard literature. He can also be heard on various recordings.
